The February walk

will be at Lode/Anglesey Abbey.

Please meet at Huntingdon Garden and Leisure at 9.30 am.

The Walking Group set out on a cold snowy February morning but, by the time we arrived at Anglesey Abbey, it was blue sky and sunshine all the way.   We walked past Lode Mill, strolled alongside Quy Water, crossed meadows and the disused railway line on a circular 4.5 mile walk.   We had lunch in the new cafe and some of the walkers took the opportunity to see the snowdrops and the winter garden.
At our open meeting last August we had a talk from Cheryl Joyce about the work of the Forestry Commission.  Cheryl has kindly agreed to lead a woodland walk of about 5 - 6 miles for us on Wednesday, 14 April.  If you would like to join the walk or would like further information please contact Val Halliday.
