What is the University of the Third Age (U3A)

It is an organisation devoted to lifelong learning and is specifically for the over – 50’s who are not in full time employment.

Huntingdon U3A - Covers an area which includes Huntingdon, Godmanchester, St Ives and their surrounding villages.

It has over 40 study and activity groups, all run for and by members. These range from Arts and Crafts through Bridge, Literature, History, Music and Photography to Petanque, Scrabble, Tai Chi and Walking.

  • It is by no means simply academic and has a strong social stream which includes running outings, events, theatre trips and even group holidays.

  • A monthly open meeting, to which members may bring visitors, is normally held in the Commemoration Hall, Huntingdon on the third Wednesday of each month
